A New School For North Hampshire?

We've got to keep working to improve education for our young people. Even where schools are already rated as good or outstanding, as they are in the Hart District part of North East Hampshire, for instance, I know they'd be the first to say that continual improvement is absolutely critical.

I respect the great work that many of our existing schools do - as do local parents - but they also tell me that they want a new school in our area to provide more parental choice, meet the demand from new homes and to help drive up standards further in our corner of Hampshire.

That's why I chaired a meeting on Friday to begin formal work with the New Schools Network to do just that. If you agree that there should be a new school in North East Hampshire, please email me to: [email protected]
